    24/7/365 Emergency Callout

Fuel pump problems don't wait for office hours, so neither do we. Email for emergency repairs any time: sales@bms-ltd.com USP

    Diagnose, Repair, Re-Test

We log the fault, triage it by phone, get an engineer to site to diagnose and repair or make safe, then report back and re-test before we leave.

    Expert Advice

We'll tell you plainly when a repair makes sense and when replacement is the better option over the life of the pump, including for older and obsolete makes.

    Calibration Check After Every Repair

Any repair that could affect the meter is followed by a calibration check, so the reading you rely on afterwards is one you can trust.

Fuel Pump Not Working? What to Do Now

Stop using the pump. If there’s a leak, use the emergency stop and contain any spill. Then call us on 0345 230 7887 or email sales@bms-ltd.com, our engineers will talk you through what to do next while help is on the way.

Common Fuel Pump Faults We Fix

Pump runs but no fuel; usually an air leak on suction, a blocked filter, a failed check valve or a low tank level. Slow flow is a blocked filter or strainer, a worn pump unit, or a kinked hose. If the nozzle won’t shut off or cuts out early, it’s a worn automatic nozzle or damaged sensing port. A leaking hose, nozzle or pump indicates a worn seal or damaged breakaway, made safe and replaced on site. Meter or display fault usually means a power, electronics or pulser fault, repaired then calibrated before use. At BMS, we diagnose and repair the pump and fuel system together.

    How a Repair Works

Five steps: the fault is logged, we triage it by phone, an engineer attends site, we diagnose and repair or make the pump safe, then report back and re-test before leaving.

    Repair or Replace? Honest Advice

We’ll explain when a repair is the sensible option and when replacement works out cheaper over the pump’s remaining life, including for legacy and obsolete makes that other contractors may turn away.

After the Repair: Calibration and Verification

A repair that touches the meter can affect its accuracy, so we recommend a calibration check afterwards, and a resale pump must be re-verified before it’s used for trade again. See our Calibration page for details.

    Log a Fault Now

Talk to our engineers now, or log a fault online with your site postcode, pump make and the symptom you're seeing.

    Fuel Pump Repairs FAQs

How quickly can an engineer get to site?

We have the capability to operate 24/7/365 and aim to get an engineer to site as quickly as possible for urgent breakdowns. For urgent callouts email sales@bms-ltd.com

Do you offer a 24 hour emergency callout?

Yes. We have the capability of offering 24/7/365 emergency callouts to our existing clients for commercial fuel pump breakdowns. Our sales@bms-ltd.com email is monitored at all times in case of emergency.

Is it better to repair or replace our pump?

It depends on the pump’s age, condition and how critical it is to your site. We’ll give you an honest recommendation on site rather than defaulting to whichever is more profitable for us.

Will the pump need calibrating after the repair?

Yes. Any repair that could affect the meter is followed by a calibration check, and a resale pump must be re-verified before it’s used for trade again.
