    VR10 Mechanical Pump Registers

The Veeder-Root VR-10 is a proven mechanical pump computer that calculates and displays sale value and volume on fuel dispensers – no electronics required, and built to keep working in the harshest conditions.

    • Worm gear drive stops wheels overrunning
    • 7-digit volume & money totalisers
    • Operates from -40°C to +71°C
    • Metric gearbox, pulser & electric reset options
    Description

Mechanical pump computers remain the choice for many fuel dispensers where simplicity and resilience matter more than electronics – remote sites, farm and fleet pumps, marinas and older forecourt equipment. The Veeder-Root VR-10 is one of the best-known units in this class, turning the meter’s rotation directly into a price and volume readout the driver can trust.

The computer uses two banks of four wheels – one for money, one for volume – with 20.6mm-high figures that are easy to read. It can display up to 999.98 in money and 999.9 in volume units per sale, and handles unit prices up to 9.99 in whole-penny steps, or up to 5.999 in tenth-of-a-penny steps. A 7-digit totaliser for each of volume and money keeps a permanent record of throughput.

Accuracy is protected mechanically. A worm gear drive stops the wheels from overrunning at the end of a delivery, and a high-resolution clutch with clear money-wheel graphics improves reading precision. The unit runs at up to 200rpm and works in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +71°C.

The VR-10 can be adapted to suit your installation. A factory-fitted ‘Quick-Change’ metric gearbox converts it for litres, a Series 7874 pulser/totaliser (with circuit barrier) or explosion-proof Series 7697 pulse transmitter sends data to a controller or payment system, and a Veeder-Root electric reset allows powered zeroing for self-service use. A four-transfer money-wheel version (VR-10/4) is also available.

BMS supplies VR-10 registers and holds spare parts, service manuals and parts lists for existing units. Our engineers can install, calibrate and repair registers on site – contact us for a quote or to check parts availability.
